MARIE ROSE FERRON A LITTLE ROSE@ 1902-1936-STIGMATISTMarie Rose Ferron was born to devout Catholic parents on May 24, 1902 in the countryside near Quebec City. Rose= s mother was seized by labor pains as she toiled the fields and sought refuge in a nearby dwelling. And so, like her Jesus, Rose was born in a stable. Although she never discussed it openly, Mrs. Ferron had dedicated each of her 15 children to the Mysteries of the Rosary. As the tenth child, Marie Rose honored the Crucifixion. These extraordinary circumstances surrounding Rose= s birth seemed to foreshadow her destiny as a victim soul.
Rose= s mystical life began at the age of four when she experienced a vision of the Child Jesus carrying a cross. His sorrowful expression touched her deeply and the image remained seared in her memory. One might consider it uncommon for such a young child to have mystical experiences but history proves otherwise. Saint Therese of the Child Jesus wrote: A The good God blessed me by opening my intelligence at a very early age.@ And so it was with Rose.
In childhood, Rose communed with Jesus, the Blessed Virgin Mary, St. Gerard Majella and St. Anthony of Padua. Profoundly humble, she always referred to these ecstasies as dreams and was reluctant to discuss them.@ To suffer in silence!@ was her motto and vanity was her greatest fear. A true victim like her Jesus, Rose endured the slanderous remarks of those who considered her a fraud and never defended herself.
At the age of seven, Rose had already begun to plead on behalf of souls. Jesus taught her the following prayer which she recited every day for the rest of her life. This same prayer, the A Supplication for Sinners,@ was discovered by the Sisters of the Precious Blood in Montreal who found it quite mysteriously one morning, lying on a table in the convent parlor.
A Oh, Lord Jesus, when I reflect upon the words which Thou hast uttered: A Many are called, but few are chosen,= I fear and tremble for those I love and I beg Thee to look upon them with mercy; and behold with an infinite tenderness. Thou dost place their salvation in my hands, for everything is assured to him who knows how to suffer with Thee and for Thee.
A My heart bleeds under the weight of affliction, but my will remains united to Thine and I cry out to thee. Lord, it is for them that I want to suffer...I wish to mingle my tears with Thy Precious Blood for the salvation of those I love! Thou wilt not turn a deaf ear to my sorrowful cry..And Thou wilt save them.@
Though Rose bore the wounds of the stigmata, this physical quality, in and of itself, is not absolute proof of sanctity. Rather, the true evidence of Rose= s saintliness is to be found in the virtues she embodied.
Those who knew Rose marveled at her childlike simplicity and profound humility. She was at all times charming and sincere. Despite suffering intensely for her Jesus, Rose never sacrificed her radiant smile. Throughout her life, she practiced the virtues of charity, patience, hope and trust and never abandoned her faith in God and His Divine Will.
For Rose, submission to the will of Jesus and saving souls were all that mattered. A I will pray hard and my suffering will always be for souls,@ she vowed to a close friend. A I give myself to our dear Jesus to do with me just as He pleases...I must ask you to pray for a very important intention. It is for souls and at any price I must have these. They are so dear to God. Pray, pray, pray!@
In 1823, Our Lord appeared to Sr. Josefa Menendez of the Society of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and revealed the overwhelming importance of victim souls: A I will shower My mercies on the world to wipe out its ingratitude. To make reparation for its crimes, I will choose victims who will obtain pardon...for there are in the world many whose desire is to please Me. And there are, moreover, generous souls who will sacrifice everything they possess that I may use them according to My Will.@
As a victim soul, Rose suffered to make reparation for the sins of others. Through her suffering she obtained healing--physical, mental and spiritual--for those in need, regardless of their station in life. Despite the pain, alienation and chastisement she endured, Rose embraced her mission joyfully, without an ounce of bitterness. In her A spiritual recipe@ she expressed her philosophy of life and her ability to endure the afflictions of others:
A Grind up all your sufferings in the mill of patience and silence; mix them with the balsam of the Passion of the Savior; make them into a small pill and swallow it with faith and love and the fire of Charity will digest it.@
On numerous occasions, Rose endured the pains of childbirth of her sisters and many women she never knew. As one of her sisters was giving birth, she experienced great distress and cried out to Rose for help. At that moment, Rose appeared in the delivery room and her sister= s pain instantly vanished. At home in Woonsocket, confined to her bed, Rose suffered the anguish of labor in silence, with a glad heart. During her life, Rose also bore the suffering of those afflicted with cancer, heart disease, blindness, asthma, paralysis, and countless other maladies.
Rose clearly understood the nature of spiritual suffering and cherished her mission of winning souls for Christ. On one occasion, a man from Michigan, whom Rose had never met, accompanied his friend to her bedside. As he observed this young woman, imprisoned in her bed and wracked with pain, he began to weep. Rose gazed up at him and admonished: A Don= t cry for me; you= re sicker than I am. You= ve been away from Jesus for thirty-five years.@ How could she be aware of this intimate detail of his life? Deeply impressed, he went to confession immediately afterward and began to attend daily Mass. With Rose= s intercession, he was reconciled to Jesus and the Church, and died a peaceful Christian death many years later.
Rose had a special love for children and extended her miraculous powers of healing to them as well. In one instance, a mother had been praying to Marie Rose to heal her daughters heart ailment. One day, the little girl opened the door of the family car parked in the driveway. The car lurched toward the street, pinning the frightened child underneath. Trapped under the front wheels, she began to turn blue and exclaimed that all was dark. She couldn= t see! Her frantic parents rushed their daughter to the emergency room, where the attending physician examined her. He couldn= t believe his eyes. Despite the serious nature of the accident, and the tire marks across her chest, the little girl suffered no apparent injuries.
Throughout her life, Rose professed a deep affection for priests, whom she referred to as A other Christs.@ On one occasion, a pastor asked his friend to appeal to Rose on his behalf. A Ask her prayers for two or three persons of this parish. They are hard cases.@ he entreated. The friend called Rose and relayed the pastor= s request. On his way to say Mass a few days later, the priest was startled to find the very parishioners Rose had prayed for awaiting his arrival on the church steps.
These are but a few of the countless testimonies of Rose= s healing intercession. After a lifetime of suffering for souls, she died on May 11, 1936, with a beatific smile on her lips. Her death came as no surprise, since Rose foretold it at age 26. A How long will I have to live away from you? She asked Our Lord. A Seven years,@ He answered. And so Rose died like her Jesus, at the age of 33. Another stigmatist, Anne Catherine Emmerich also died at age 33.
Marie Rose Ferron lies buried in the Precious Blood Cemetery in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, a French city with many beautiful French churches. A cross crowned with thorns is etched on her gravestone. Beneath it rests a dove with outstretched wings, surrounded by sprays of roses. On the white marble headstone, a simple epitaph inscribed in French befits the woman it memorializes:

From her place in Heaven, Marie Rose Ferron continues to intercede in the lives of those who seek her help. Favors have been granted and cures have been reported from all over the world. The Russian Military: In Bad Shape?Lunev.net By Col. Stanislav Lunev formerly in The Russian armed forces now living in the USA.
On October 25, Nikolai Mikhailov, first defense minister of the RF (Russian Federation) shocked the international community by his strong statements to the press. At a time when the RF is still in dire economic straits, dependent on Western money for its very survival, Mikhailov warned that his country= s military has enough weaponry to overwhelm any anti-ballistic system in the US. He warned further that the RF will deploy more nuclear warheads if the US continues its efforts to develop an anti-missile defense system. Mikhailov stated categorically, A This technology can realistically be used and will be used if the United States pushes us to it.@
The U.S. reaction to these words came from Secretary of State Madeleine K. Albright. In her speech to the Chicago Council on Foreign Relations (November 10) she disclosed, A A Russian defense official recently proclaimed that his nation has the ability to overwhelm the missile defense system we are planning.@ A That is true---and part of our point,@ she added.
These statements run counter to the standard reports in the U.S. about the supposed deterioration of the Russian military and its demise as a major threat to the international community. Evidently the U.S. media have been negligent in investigating the true state of the Russian war machine. Mr. Mikhailov, however, is an expert in these matters. Before his appointment as RF deputy defense minister, he had spent 35 years working in both the Soviet and Russian military-industrial complexes.
He has inside knowledge, then, that the Russian defense industry is accelerating its buildup of a new generation of weapons systems. Mikhailov, after all, is a primary mover behind the Russian General Staff= s plan to implement the new ten-year arms-development program for completion by 2010.
The Russian military has already begun operational deployment of the second-generation mobile-launch-based Topol-M ICBM, a weapon the U.S. does not possess and also has not yet allocated funds to develop. The Russian VPK (Voenno Promishlenni Komplex---Military Industrial Complex) has also introduced a new generation of nuclear warheads as well as a new stealth bomber and a stealth cruise missile C which could reach U.S. territory over the Polar Circle.
As further examples, the RF has under construction (1) the fifth generation Borei-class ballistic-missile submarine, (2) a new submarine-based ballistic missile, (3) the Akula-2-class nuclear attack submarine (Shark), and (4) the new Severodvinsk-class nuclear attack submarine. The VPK is likewise continuing to modernize its army, navy and air force, not to mention further developing chemical, biological, nuclear, and other types of mass-destruction weapons.
The list of Russian weaponry could be extended many pages. Some of the new weapons do not have any counterparts in the arsenals of the West. According to the Russian General Staff these programs are to be in place by 2010 so that Moscow can regain the former stature of the USSR. Russia is determined to gain pre-eminence in unique nuclear and laser technologies for new types of weapons.
Russian military spending has increased 1.5 times for the war in Chechnya and the increases are expected to continue. The Russian General Staff is requesting a gradual increase in military expenditures from 2.8 % of GDP (Gross Domestic Product) in 1999 to between 6 and 6.5% by 2005.
The RF does not need state-of-the-art weapons systems for Chechnya. They are ultimately intended for future full scale wars against countries considered by the Russian General Staff to be A major potential military adversaries.@ This intention is clear from recent A West-99" field exercises, the largest since 1985, during which Russian military commanders ordered simulated nuclear strikes against NATO countries, including the continental United States.
The RF Defense Minister said A U.S. national interests require that the military conflict in the North Caucasus, fanned from the outside, keeps constantly smoldering.@
Who is footing the bill for these enormous military outlays. The money is coming from America and other Western countries but chiefly from American taxpayers who are subsidizing the armaments of admitted adversaries thru the International Monetary Fund, World Bank and other financial institutions controlled by the Rockefellers/Rothschilds. Nunn-Lugar is paying $4.5 billion to Russia, the U.S. Dept. of Energy will disburse $11.5 billion to Russia to buy 500 metric tons of highly enriched uranium. The U.S. pays $100 million a year for Russian scientists salaries working in closed nuclear cities. American officials do not know how many scientists are receiving funding. The U.S. paid for improved security at Russian nuclear weapons sites.
The U.S. has continued to keep Russia afloat since the communists took over in 1917 and are continuing to keep communism alive by funding their arms technologies while doing nothing for the average Russian.
It is estimated that Russia has deployed 100 nuclear caches in U.S. territory in secret hiding places that will be used to destroy cities, roads, railways, electrical power grids, airports, television and radio towers, water supplies etc. when the order comes from Moscow.
PRAYER OF ST. GERTRUDE, THE GREAT.
Our Lord told St. Gertrude the Great that the following prayer would release 1000 souls from Purgatory each time it is said. The prayer was extended to include living sinners as well:
A Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with all the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal Church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.@

What Is the Sacrifice of the Mass?Q. What then properly speaking, is the sacrifice of the Mass?
A. It is an offering made to God of the body and blood of Jesus Christ.
First, Under the sensible appearances of bread and wine, by Jesus Christ himself, our invisible High priest.
Second, Through the ministry of the priests of His church, lawfully consecrated and empowered by him for that office; in which offering the bread and wine are.
Third, By the Almighty power of God, really and substantially changed into the body and blood of Christ, and by the separate consecration of the two different species of bread and wine, the death of Jesus Christ is mystically represented. By which it is plain, that this is a true and Real Sacrifice, according to the definition of sacrifice given above.
Q. What is the proper office of the priest in celebrating the Mass?
A. St. Paul tells us, that A every high priest taken from among men, is appointed for men in the things that appertain to God, that he may offer up gifts and sacrifices for sins,@ Heb. v.1. Hence the priest is a person separated from among men and deputed, by the special appointment of God, to treat with God for the rest of mankind, in things appertaining to God, and, in particular to officiate at the altar of God, as the lawful minister, in offering up gifts and sacrifices for sins.
Q. Is not Jesus Christ the only High priest that offers this sacrifice?
A. Jesus Christ is our invisible High priest, and the principal agent in these Holy Mysteries; because it is he who, by his Almighty power, changes the bread and wine into his own body and blood; it is he who, out of his own infinite goodness, comes to be present upon our altars, and there offer himself up to his Eternal Father. But, as the celebration of this Sacrifice is an outward act of religion, first performed by jesus Christ Himself, when he instituted it at the last supper; and as he then commanded, that what he did there should be done in his Church to the end of the world, in order A to show forth his death till his second coming,@ as St. Paul assures us, 1 Cor. xi. 26; it was therefore necessary, that besides Jesus Christ, our invisible High priest, other men should be chosen and ordained to act under Him as his visible substitutes, to perform the outward and visible part in these sacred mysteries. These also are justly called priests, because they are ministers of Jesus Christ, ordained and empowered by him to perform, in His name and authority, and as representing His person, all the exterior part of this Holy Sacrifice.
The outward sensible action is performed by the priest but the inward effect produced both by the Sacraments and in the Sacrifice is wholly and solely the work of God.

ROME-When the Soviet Army came to the quarry where a 19 year old was working along with 60 others including 18 seminarians, the Soviet Army leader asked if anyone knew how to translate Latin and Greek and the worker brought him to the future Pope John Paul II who translated quite a lot of items for the Soviet officer. When other Army officials said that Comrade Stalin had ordered that educated persons should be sent to Siberia, the Soviet Officer refused to permit it. He is now 85 years old and the Pope recently sent him birthday wishes. Thus a Soviet Army officer saved the life of Pope John Paul II and his 17 seminarian friends. These seminarians reminded us that the Pope= s mother was Ukrainian with Russian roots and his father was Polish.

Excommunicating pro-abortion Catholic politicians. By David Carlin.
OSV asked for readers opinions and 100 letters came mostly by e-mail but many by regular mail as well.
1. The vast majority wanted them thrown out of the Church.
2. A small number said that it was unreasonable to use the extreme remedy of excommunication until the bishops have first exhausted all lesser remedies.
Why asked this smaller group do so many Catholic politicians support abortion? Because vast numbers of Catholics vote for such politicians.
But why do Catholics do this? Why do they think a politicians support for abortion is no big deal? Because (said these writers) most parish priests are virtually silent on abortion; they don= t preach the Gospel of Life.
And why not? Because their bishops don= t insist on it. The U.S. bishops have made many fine statements on abortion but when it comes to mobilizing the troops in the abortion war, they have been failures.
How (asked these writers) can we realistically expect Catholic politicians to be pro-life if Catholic voters are not pro-life? And how can Catholic voters be pro-life if the Church leadership is not constantly reminding them that they have a solemn Christian duty to vote pro-life. CUTTING FUNERAL COSTS.

Fr. Henry Wasielewski is a retired priest of the Diocese of Phoenix, Arizona who became interested in this subject 2 decades ago while working with poor Hispanic parishioners. Outraged by high funeral costs, he gained a lot of insider information about the funeral industry and now shares it liberally with others.
He is among those who have put together a Good Shepherd Funeral program, a nonprofit interfaith effort that seeks to help others in arranging funerals.
Following its suggestions, Father says an average funeral should cost $1,400 to $2,200 as opposed to today= s standard rates of $4,000 to $10,000. The Good Shepherd program sells steel and wood caskets that retail from $500 to $1,000, a markup of $200.
Father and others involved in the Interfaith Funeral Information Committee emphasize the following four recommendations:
1. Know what a fair price is for a funeral and shop around. Federal regulations stipulate that mortuaries must give out price information over the phone.
2. Have viewing and all services in your church.
3. Don= t buy costly, fraudulent protective-seal caskets.
4. Don= t buy into prepaid plans.

According to the Apostolic Constitutions, a document dating back well over 15 centuries, the use of Holy Water is attributed to a recommendation issued by St. Matthew, Apostle and Evangelist.
Holy Water, is a spiritual armor in times of temptations. St. Teresa of Avila, whose temptations were as terrible as anyone= s, has left us these wise words of counsel.
A I have found by experience that there is nothing from which the devils fly more quickly than from Holy Water. They also fly from the Cross, but they return almost immediately. Certainly, the power of Holy Water must be great; for my part, my soul feels particular comfort in taking it, and very generally a refreshment and interior delight which I cannot express.

The Blessed Virgin Mary at Bayside New York (1968-94).@ Again and again I wander to and fro directing my children to remain close to the Eucharist, the Bread of Life. But do not become misguided: do not accept My Son= s Body in your hands. Satan, Lucifer, came as an agent of light and set his agents among the Hierarchy of My Son= s Church and deluded them. All manner of abominations are being committed upon My Son= s Body now.@
A My child and My children, it is the will of My Son that only man C not woman C shall give His Body to the multitudes C only a man, a priest, legally ordained, a true descendant of Peter, must bring My Son= s Body to the multitudes.@
GEORGE WASHINGTON= S VISION.
Our first President was given a vision of future perils to the nation. The next peril after the Civil War begins:
A Again I heard the voice say, A Son of the Republic, look and learn!@ At this, the dark shadowy angel placed a trumpet to his mouth and blew three distinct blasts; and taking water from the ocean he sprinkled it upon Europe, Asia and Africa.
A Then my eyes beheld a fearful scene: from each of these countries arose thick black clouds that were soon joined into one. And throughout this mass there gleamed a bright RED LIGHT, by which I saw hordes of armed men, who, moving with the cloud, marched by land and sailed by sea to America; which country was enveloped in the volume of cloud.
A And I saw dimly these vast armies devastate the whole country and burn the villages, towns, and cities that I beheld springing up.@
A As my ears listened to the thundering of the cannon, the clashing of swords, and the shouts and cries of millions in mortal combat, I again heard the mysterious voice say, A Son of the Republic, look and learn.@ As the voice ceased, the shadowy figure of the angel, for the last time, dipped water from the ocean and sprinkled it upon America. Instantly the dark cloud rolled back, together with the armies it had brought, leaving the inhabitants of the land victorious.

The saints throughout the ages have always warned people that Hell exists, that it is the worst physical and mental suffering imaginable and that it lasts for eternity and above all that countless human beings go there when they die outside the state of grace. And we must constantly be on guard and flee the snares of Satan.
I have rarely heard the word Hell mentioned in the Vatican II Church so I decided to check into this to see whether or not it was my imagination. Where best to begin but the encyclicals and speeches of Pope John Paul II? And here came the terrible discovery...
.Pope John Paul II and Hell.
EWTN Catholic television network (ewtn.com) has one of the most comprehensive internet libraries of Papal documents, providing the full text of 569 speeches, allocutions, audiences and addresses of John Paul II plus his thirteen encyclicals. I viewed every single one of EWTN= s 582 documents and then 113 additional documents at the Zenit.org news site.
Thanks to electronic searching by computer, here are the results of my search.
Not one of the thirteen encyclicals of Pope John Paul II mentions the word Hell even once.
In the 682 speeches, audiences, letters and addresses of John Paul II that are now on the EWTN and Zenit websites, exactly ten contain the word Hell.
The Pope on July 28, 1999 at the General Audience said: A hell is the ultimate consequence of sin itself...Rather than a place, hell indicates the state of those who freely and definitively separate themselves from God, the source of all life and joy.@ He then refers to Par. 1033 of the post-Vatican II Catechism of the Catholic Church, Part 1, Section 2, Article 12, Item IV-Hell, with paragraphs 1033-1037.
Par. 1033: A ..To die in mortal sin without repenting and accepting God= s merciful love means remaining separated from Him forever by our own free choice. This state of definitive self-exclusion from communion with God and the blessed is called > hell.@
Par. 1034 quotes the Bible: A Jesus often speaks of Gehenna, of the unquenchable fire reserved for those who to the end of their lives refuse to believe and be converted, where both body and soul can be lost. (Mt 5:22, 29; Mt. 10:28; Mt 13:42, 50; Mk 9:43-48) Jesus solemnly proclaims that he will send his angels and they will gather...all evildoers and throw them into the furnace of fire,= (Mt 13:41-42) and that he will pronounce the condemnation: A Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire! (Mt 25:41)@
Par. 1035: A The teaching of the Church affirms the existence of hell and its eternity. Immediately after death the souls of those who die in a state of mortal sin descend into hell, where they will suffer the punishments of hell, > eternal fire.= The chief punishment of hell is eternal separation from God, in whom alone man can possess the life and happiness for which he was created and for which he longs.@
Par. 1036 speaks of each man= s responsibility to use A ...his freedom in view of his eternal destiny.@ It further says: A ...and not, like the wicked and slothful servants, be ordered to depart into the eternal fire, into the outer darkness where > men will weep and gnash their teeth.= (Mt 22:13; Heb 9:27; Mt 25:13, 26, 30, 31-46)@
Par. 1037 says that A God predestines no one to go to hell; for this, a wilful turning away from God (a mortal sin) is necessary, and persistence in it until the end...@ And it refers to the Church= s prayers to implore God= s mercy.
(Needless to say, the pre-Vatican II Catechisms are much more simple, direct, and forceful.)
The Pope mentions Hell in only 9 of the other 694 speeches or documents and then just cursorily. The other bishops and priests of the world do not mention hell at all. There are no sermons or homilies on hell which is too bad as many are called but few are chosen. During the Swiss exorcism detailed in Warnings From Beyond, the devils revealed that on an average day, 80% of the deceased go to Hell, 15% to Purgatory and 5% to Heaven.
The Cure of Ars, in 71 sermons mentions Hell 68 times, and always in terms of sinners going to Hell. St. Anthony Mary Claret writes: A ..this fire is not merely outside him; it also passes within the condemned person. It penetrates his brain, his teeth, his tongue, his throat, his liver, his lungs, his bowels, his belly, his heart, his veins, his nerves, his bones, even to the marrow, and even his blood...= In hell,= according to St. Gregory the Great, > there will be a fire that cannot be put out, a worm which cannot die, a stench one cannot bear, a darkness one can feel, a scourging by savage hands, with those present despairing of anything good.@
Cyril of Jerusalem -@ .. But if a man is a sinner, he shall receive an eternal body, fitted to endure the penalties of sins, that he may burn eternally in fire, nor ever be consumed.@ (Catechetical Lectures 18:19 [A.D. 350]).
Life of Teresa of Avila, chapter 32 of her autobiography describes the place in hell that the devil had prepared for her.
A The entrance, I thought, resembled a very long, narrow passage, like a furnace, very low, dark and closely confined; the ground seemed to be full of water which looked like filthy, evil-smelling mud, and in it were many wicked-looking reptiles. At the end there was a hollow place scooped out of a wall, like a cupboard, and it was here that I found myself in close confinement. But the sight of all this was pleasant by comparison with what I felt there.
A My bodily sufferings were so intolerable that, though in my life I have endured the severest sufferings of this kind C the worst it is possible to endure.... none of them is of the smallest account by comparison with what I felt then, to say nothing of the knowledge that they would be endless and never-ceasing. And even these are nothing by comparison with the agony of my soul, an oppression, a suffocation and an affliction so deeply felt, and accompanied by such hopeless and distressing misery that I cannot too forcibly describe it. To say that it is as if the soul were continually being torn from the body is very little, for that would mean that one= s life was being taken by another; whereas in this case it is the soul itself that is tearing itself to pieces. The fact is that I cannot find words to describe that interior fire and that despair, which is greater than the most grievous tortures and pains. I could not see who was the cause of them but I felt, I think, as if I were being both burned and dismembered; and I repeat that the interior fire and despair are the worst things of all.
A In that pestilential spot, where I was quite powerless to hope for comfort, it was impossible to sit or lie, for there was no room to do so. I had been put in this place, which looked like a hole in the wall, and those very walls, so terrible to the sight, bore down upon me and completely stifled me. There was no light and everything was in the blackest darkness. I do not understand how this can be, but, although there was no light, it was possible to see everything the sight of which can cause affliction.@
St. Teresa thanks Our Lord for this experience and says: A I do not know how we can look on so calmly and see the devil carrying off as many souls as he does daily... This also makes me wish that in so urgent a matter, we were not ourselves satisfied with anything short of doing all that we can.@
The vision of Hell closest to all of us is that given by Our Lady on July 13, 1917 to the innocent children of Fatima, and it is worth recalling. [Text from Sr. Lucia= s memoirs, copied from Fr. Gruner= s website, fatima.org.]
A Mary opened Her hands once more, as She had done the two previous months. The rays [of light] appeared to penetrate the earth, and we saw, as it were, a vast sea of fire. Plunged in this fire, we saw the demons and the souls [of the damned]. The latter were like transparent burning embers, all blackened or burnished bronze, having human forms. They were floating about in that conflagration, now raised into the air by the flames which issued from within themselves, together with great clouds of smoke. Now they fell back on every side like sparks in huge fires, without weight or equilibrium, amid shrieks and groans of pain and despair, which horrified us and made us tremble with fright (it must have been this sight which caused me to cry out, as people say they heard me). The demons were distinguished [from the souls of the damned] by their terrifying and repellent likeness to frightful and unknown animals, black and transparent like burning coals.
That vision only lasted for a moment, thanks to our good Heavenly Mother, who at the first apparition had promised to take us to Heaven. Without that, I think that we would have died of terror and fear.@
We know that in the remaining months of her short life, Blessed Jacinta gladly suffered excruciating pain in order to save souls from Hell. And let us pray earnestly after each of the 15 decades of our daily Rosary as Our Lady requested:
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins.
Save us from the fires of Hell.
Lead all souls to heaven,
especially those in most need.

Biernacki= s Visit to the Gates of HellWladyslaw Biernack in his Prophecies book [which will take $1,500 to reprint] is approved by the Pope and all Polish bishops. He had daily visions of Jesus and here he describes his visit to Hell accompanied by Jesus.
A The Holy Rosary will defeat the Red Dragon and it will stumble and fall. It is so easy to lead people to ruin, to Hell.... and yet so difficult to save them from hell, and from the complete annihilation which is threatening the whole world!
I reached the Gates of Hell. Even while we were still a fair distance away, I could distinguish them quite clearly as a sort of garish brightness made up of many different colors. I was left on my own about 120 feet in front of the Gates of Hell. And now the Gates of Hell were opening up, and it was frightening, absolutely terrifying to look in!
As far as the eye could see, there was a raging, roaring fire; and in the midst of the flames were millions upon millions of human souls. What anguish, what suffering, what hatred there was! Everywhere people were cursing Lucifer, Beelzebub and the demons, and yearning desperately for truth, for God, for Heaven.
In the most foul and blasphemous language imaginable, the souls in hell were shrieking to us here on earth, demanding that we pray for them, and do penance on their behalf! Children were shouting to their parents still alive on the earth, mothers and fathers screaming to their children. Others still, who were crying out wildly, commanding anybody, anywhere to pray for them. So everyone was shouting raucously, ordering people on earth to help them, wishing to themselves that God had only sent them to Purgatory, so that they= d been able to do penance there.
I saw now how the evil spirits are able to assume a variety of hideous appearances. They can take on the form of a snake, a reptile, a ferocious animal, and so forth---and they do this quite often to frighten us, to deflect us away from the path of righteousness and into the eternal abyss, into Hell.
I did recognize a few. I saw the Polish king, Stanislaw Augustus Poniatowski. I saw the English king, Henry VIII, and also an English queen who may have been Elizabeth I. I saw the Russian Czar Mikolaj, and a German Kaiser. I also saw many Russian Communists including Stalin. Krushchev, however, is in Purgatory, and so is Gomulka.
