FAITH
God is faithful and true
- Psalms 88:34-36 "But my mercy I will not take away from him: nor will I suffer my truth to fail. Neither will I profane my covenant: and the words that proceed from my mouth I will not make void. Once have I sworn by my holiness: I will not lie unto David"

Faith is demanded by Christ
- Saint Matthew 9:28 "And when he was come to the house, the blind men came to him. And Jesus saith to them, Do you believe, that I can do this unto you? They say to him, Yea, Lord."
- Saint Mark 4:40 "And he said to them: Why are you fearful? have you not faith yet? And they feared exceedingly: and they said one to another: Who is this (thinkest thou) that both wind and sea obey him?"
- Saint Luke 8:25 "And he said to them: Where is your faith? Who being afraid, wondered, saying one to another: Who is this (think you), that he commandeth both the winds and the sea: and they obey him?"

Just man lives by faith
- Habacuc 2:4 "Behold, he that is unbelieving, his soul shall not be right in himself: but the just shall live in his faith."

Faith is assurance of things hoped for
- Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of the gospel. For it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth: to the Jew first and to the Greek."(Salvation is the hope of every one that believeth.)
- Romans 4:20 "In the promise also of God he staggered not by distrust: but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God"
- 2 Corinthians 4:18 "While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal: but the things which are not seen, are eternal."(Our hope is in the things which are not seen.)
- Hebrews 11:1 "Now, faith is the substance of things to be hoped for, the evidence of things that appear not."
Life for all who believe with faith
- Romans 6:8 "Now, if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall live also together with Christ."
- Romans 10:10 "For, with the heart, we believe unto justice: but, with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation."
- 2 Corinthians 4:13-14 "But having the same spirit of faith, as it is written: I believed, for which cause I have spoken; we also believe. For which cause we speak also: Knowing that he who raised up Jesus will raise us up also with Jesus and place us with you."

Faith calls for obedience
- Acts 6:7 "And the word of the Lord increased: and the number of the disciples was multiplied in Jerusalem exceedingly. A great multitude also of the priests obeyed the faith."
- Romans 1:5 "By whom we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith, in all nations, for his name"
- Romans 6:16-17 "Know you not that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are whom you obey, whether it be of sin unto death or of obedience unto justice. But thanks be to God, that you were the servants of sin but have obeyed from the heart unto that form of doctrine into which you have been delivered."

Faith is confirmed with baptism
- Acts 2:41 "They therefore that received his word were baptized: and there were added in that day about three thousand souls."
- Acts 8:12-13 "But when they had believed Philip preaching of the kingdom of God, in the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women."
- Acts 10:44-48 "While Peter was yet speaking these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them that heard the word.
And the faithful of the circumcision, who came with Peter, were astonished for that the grace of the Holy Ghost was poured out upon the Gentiles also.
For they heard them speaking with tongues and magnifying God.
Then Peter answered: Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, who have received the Holy Ghost, as well as we?
And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Then they desired him to tarry with them some days."

And we become adopted sons of God

Faith comes from preaching

Being grieved that they taught the people and preached in Jesus the resurrection from the dead:
And they laid hands upon them and put them in hold till the next day: for it was now evening.
But many of them who had heard the word believed: and the number of the men was made five thousand."

And Philip, going down to the city of Samaria, preached Christ unto them."

Without faith we cannot please God
- Romans 2:7-8 "To them indeed who, according to patience in good work, seek glory and honour and incorruption, eternal life: But to them that are contentious and who obey not the truth but give credit to iniquity, wrath and indignation."
- Hebrews 11:6 "But without faith it is impossible to please God. For he that cometh to God must believe that he is: and is a rewarder to them that seek him."
Faith and good works are complementary
